khaltmeyer-web.jpgISEA Treasurer: Kathy Haltmeyer, Muscatine

Long-time Association activist Kathy Haltmeyer is serving a one-year term as ISEA Treasurer and chair of the Budget Committee. Haltmeyer runs her own teacher training company called Management, Motivation & More. She was a member of the NEA's Elections Committee and a trainer with the NEA's Women's Leadership Program. At the ISEA she has been a State Delegate, a presenter at Summer Conference, and a member of the Central PAC and Personnel committees. She has held leadership positions on the local level.

jim_young.jpgNEA Director: Jim Young, Cedar Falls

A veteran teacher from Cedar Falls, Jim Young began his three-year term representing Iowa on the NEA Board of Directors in 2003. Young has been actively involved in all levels of the Association over the years. He's held virtually every leadership position on the local level including president, vice president, treasurer, and building representative. In addition, he's chaired a variety of committees including governmental relations, communications, IPD, and American Education Week.

A sixth grade reading and language arts at Wood Intermediate School, Kathy Williams has been an advocate for children and public education throughout her 33-year career. In addition to holding a wide variety of leadership positions in the Davenport Education Association and the Great River regional ISEA unit, she has also been involved in a number of school district committees and professional activities over the years. Williams began her three-year term on the NEA Board of directors in July of 2007.
