Journey to Excellence

"Journey to Excellence" is a new mentoring and induction model created for Iowa schools and AEAs that focuses learning projects for beginning educators on each of the Iowa Teaching Standards. It was created by a team from ISEA, the Iowa Department of Education, districts, and AEAs. It is designed to provide meaningful support for beginning educators, to prepare and support mentors with quality preparation, and be affordable. It is focused, yet flexible. The Training for Trainers of Mentors will be held July 21-25 at the Stoney Creek Inn in Johnston, Iowa. Deadline for registration is July 7 , 2008. For more information, contact Kathy Bosovich .
