Jeremy Kunz, UniServ Director
Jeremy started his teaching career in the Des Moines Public Schools working with Severe and Profound mentally challenged students. He was a local leader with the Des Moines education Association and served on the UniServ Unit Board. In the summer of 2004 he was selected for the UniServ Pre-employment Development Program and completed his internship with Dave Ulrick in East Central. After his internship he was hired by ISEA as a director for the Northeast Iowa Education Unit based out of the Waterloo Regional Office. After three years as Director of NEIEU, Jeremy returned to East Central in 2007 as its 7th UniServ Director.
Coy Marquardt, UniServ Director
A former 7th-grade language arts teacher at Iowa City, Coy began his career as a substitute teacher in Iowa City after receiving his Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Iowa. He also taught a year of 6th grade at East Marshall Middle School in Gilman .
Coy has been involved in a wide variety of Association activities including grievance processing, negotiations, and communications. In addition, he has been deeply involved in political action and has been active in a number of campaigns for pro-education candidates.
A graduate of the NEA UniServ Pre-Employment Development Program, Marquardt received intensive training and brings to his job specific member advocacy skills. He completed his ISEA internship working with now Associate Executive Director Randy Richardson. Coy joined the ECUU staff in 2006.
