Integrating Social Studies and Literacy Connections into K-5 Classrooms - June 18 & 19

This is a 1-credit face-to-face course where using what is learned about integrating social studies and literacy connections, participants will create a single-day or multi-day lesson plan. Participants will use an existing lesson plan, Goldie’s History Kit lesson, or create a new lesson plan and must include social studies themes, strategies and literacy components.

At a Glance

This class will explore the signs and symptoms of childhood anxiety, the “red flags” teachers and parents should be aware of, and the struggles children with anxiety endure. Information will be presented on how educators need to react to students who display symptoms of anxiety and how to build a safe and supportive network.
