Trauma-Responsive Strategies for Early Childhood

This 1-credit, 4-week course is entirely self-paced and can be taken anytime between August 19, 2024 - August 20, 2025.

At a Glance

This course offers an overview of trauma and its impact on young children, as well as specific strategies and techniques educators and administrators can use to create classroom and school communities that improve the quality of care for this vulnerable population. Focusing on the four different domains of cognitive, language, physical, and social-emotional, the author uses vignettes to explore how trauma can be expressed in the classroom and what teachers can do about it.
