Lifting the education profession and the people who choose it is a critical part of the Iowa State Education Association’s mission.
Every Iowa State Education Association member is much more than a public education professional and each has a unique story and perspective to share. But all are committed to their profession, their colleagues and the students in their classrooms.
Here are some of their stories.

Lindsey Paull

"We know that teaching has not been easy for the last few years. It's never been easy, but I think being part of the solution is giving people a real understanding of what's happening in our classrooms."

George Anderson

"Schools are the crossroads of our communities. You need to lean in to those, and invest in those, and support those."

Davena Johnson

"I want to instill knowledge in them. But what I want to instill in them - what I want to instill in all my students is to love yourself. Because when you love yourself, you move different. You know what I mean?"

Lora Knaack

"I absolutely love my students. I have your traditional students right out of high school. Then I have your non-traditional students - they can have spouses, they can have families, they can be a single mother or a single father. They are hard-working and I do everything I can so they can be great nurses."
Jamie Walker Sallis
