At a Glance

This one-credit Graduate or Iowa License Renewal course is designed to explore the legal and ethical standards for providing special education programs to students with disabilities. Offered synchronously through Zoom, participants will learn the essential provisions of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) through presentations, readings, and discussion forums. The course will feature a variety of interactive and engaging assignments which will provide the legal and ethical foundations for special education practices in schools.
