Unlocking Potential: Understanding and Supporting Students with Special Needs in Every Classroom

This 2-credit, 4-week course is entirely self-paced and can be taken anytime between December 3 and August 20, 2026.

At a Glance

Every classroom includes students with unique strengths and challenges, and teachers outside special education often wonder how best to support them. This course is designed to give all educators the knowledge, strategies, and confidence to create an inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed. By the end of the course, teachers will feel more prepared to meet diverse needs, reduce barriers to learning, and celebrate the progress of all students. This course will be for anyone in PK-12 education who will encounter a student at any point in the special education process (paras, special education teachers, general education teachers, preschool teachers, administrators, interventionists, instructional coaches).
