Every Iowa State Education Association member is much more than a public education professional and each has a unique story and perspective to share. But all are committed to their profession, their colleagues and the students in their classrooms. Here are some of their stories.

Lora Knaack, instructor, Western Iowa Tech Community College, Sioux City

Lora Knaack is committed to rural Iowa. She teaches nursing at WITCC and cares for the small herd of livestock on her family's farm. She could easily up her income by moving to a larger city, but she loves the public schools her sons attend, having family close by and the students who come to her community college classroom.
